      Arthur 'Jerry' Trackey
      HUDSON FALLS | Arthur "Jerry" Trackey, 88, of Hudson Falls, passed away peacefully Friday, Dec. 25, 2015, at Fort Hudson Health Care Facility.

      Born April 28, 1927, in Fort Edward, he was the son of the late Arthur Trackey and Ruth (Laney) Trackey Pattee.

      Jerry attended Fort Edward High School, where he played football.

      He served in the United States Navy during World War II.

      Jerry was a firefighter for the city of Glens Falls, retiring in 1985 after 26 years of service.

      He was a skilled wood worker and a great cook. After retiring from the fire department, he operated Jerry's Lunch on Main Street in South Glens Falls.

      Besides his parents, Jerry was predeceased by his sister, Bonnie Pattee Hawkins.

      Survivors include his significant other of 45 years, Jackie Higgins of Hudson Falls; his stepchildren, Beth Bruno and her husband, Scott, of Queensbury and their children Kyle, Matthew and Shelby Bruno, Michael Higgins and his wife, Bridgit of South Glens Falls and their children, Dillon and Olivia, whom he treated as his own; his children, Joanne MacDonald and her husband, David, of Queensbury, Jim Trackey and his wife, Carol, of Queensbury, and John Trackey of South Glens Falls; his grandchildren, Cheryl, Scott, Courtney, Justin and Melissa; and six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Walter Pattee of England; as well as several nieces and nephews.

      There will be no calling hours.

      A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 31, at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Veterans Cemetery in Saratoga.

      Donations in memory of Jerry may be made to Fort Hudson Health Nursing Home Capital Campaign, 319 Broadway, Fort Edward, NY 12828.

      Jerry's family wishes to thank the staff at Fort Hudson Healthcare Facility for their kindness and compassion during his time there.Arrangements are under the direction of Carleton Funeral Home Inc., 68 Main St., Hudson Falls.
